This paper analyzes the impact of sars-cov-2 pandemic on higher education from the inequality perspective. We mainly focus on the digital gap, which we describe in the first place in terms of three levels of exclusion. In the second place, some data on digitalization in Mexico are presented in order to assess the risk of exclusion from acceeing higher education institutions. A short look on distance learning universities resources, which we analyze in the third place, showsthat while they could hypothetically palliate two first dimensions of the gap, it remains uncertain whether they are adequate for all student profiles.
