The issue of antimicrobial resistance is one that threatens the very existence of humanity. For this reason it should be subject to increasingly intense investigation by the scientific community. The aims of this work was to explore two projects focused on creating novel treatments and therapies to be used as antimicrobial strategies. The first project was focused on the synthesis of novel anti-tuberculosis (TB) drugs, in order to address the increasing issue of multi and extensively drug-resistant TB.
