Background and Purpose: Measuring the attitude of nurses toward the importance of involving families in nursing care is essential to implement family-centered care. We aim to examine the reliability and factor structure of the Families' Importance in Nursing Care-Nurses' Attitudes questionnaire (FINC-NA-R). Methods: The psychometric properties of the FINC-NA-R were tested and the Dutch-revised version was used to assess the attitude of the nurses. Results: Principal component analysis confirmed a four-factor structure and the removal of four items achieved strong evidence of structural validity and internal consistency.
