Ballast lifting is a serious problem in the operation of high speed train. The assessment of the train performances is currently done through experimental tests, nevertheless numerical approach allows to correctly predict the under-car-body features. Experimental measurements on a high-speed line consist in measuring air velocity and pressures on a cube. These data allow to validate the numerical model using flow data, while the measurements on the cube consent to make some correlation between the flow and the forces on the ballast
