Quality is a key factor in any manufacturing system. High quality products can be sold with higher profit margin. Often quality is linked to immaterial properties of the product, but where possible a quantification of quality should be looked for. To quantify quality, measurement of some key characteristics of the product is required. These key characteristics directly affect the product performance. Verifying these key characteristic are equal in any manufactured part, and conforming to project tolerances, is the aim of any quality system
