As an artist, I use art making as a way to connect with nature. As an educator, I teach others how to engage in various art-making practices to experience a connection to the natural world. My desire is to teach students how to create interesting concepts and find inspiration themselves. Learning how to utilise - and even more important - find inspiration is a key component to constantly explore different content and develop a unique style or process. In this paper I intend to present a method using photographs to find inspiration as a source for design, craft and artistic work.
