Motor and functional deficits are a common consequence of stroke hemiplegia. Mirror therapy may present an alternative therapy to promote motor and functional recovery.Materials and methods : in order to know the effects of mirror therapy on the motor and functional recovery of the upper limb of the hemiplegic as well as the effects on neglect, a review of the literature was carried out. The PubMed database was searched.Results : of the 109 articles, 12 studies were included for a total of 398 subjects. These studies showed that mirror therapy favored motor and functional recovery, but with no significant difference from conventional therapy.
