Repérage et accompagnement des femmes victimes de violences conjugales en masso-kinésithérapie

In France in 2021, 113 women died as a result of domestic violence (DV). Physiotherapists have an important role to play in the care of these women. The purpose of this research is to show that systematic screening, recommended by the HAS, is not implemented and that physiotherapists do not feel competent to do it because of their lack of training. METHOD : A self administrated online questionnaire was send to French physiotherapists, from September 2021 to November 2021. RESULTS : 174 answers were analysed. Results showed that 1% of physiotherapists apply systematic screening. 17% of the physiotherapists had been taught about DV during their initial training, whereas 70% of the physiotherapists would have liked to have been taught about DV. The average feeling of competence for the care of these women was about 3,6/10. DISCUSSION : Results showed that there is a gap between the expectations of the HAS and the feeling of competence of physiotherapists. This is mainly due to the lack of knowledge on this subject. In future research, it would be interesting to investigate the barriers to systematic screening.L'objectif de cette recherche est de montrer que le dépistage systématique, recommandé par la HAS, n'est pas mis en œuvre et que les MK ne se sentent pas compétents pour le faire en raison de leur manque de formation.Méthode : un questionnaire en ligne auto-administré a été envoyé aux MK français, de septembre 2021 à novembre 2021. Résultats : 174 réponses ont été analysées. Les résultats montrent que 1% des MK appliquent un dépistage systématique. 17% des MK ont été sensibilisés aux VC lors de leur formation initiale, alors que 70% des MK auraient aimé recevoir des enseignements sur les VC. La moyenne du sentiment de compétence pour la prise en charge de ces femmes est d'environ 3,6/10. Discussion : les résultats montrent qu'il existe un écart entre les attentes de l’ HAS et le sentiment de compétence des MK. Ceci est principalement dû au manque de connaissances sur ce sujet.
