We study several topics in analysis which come from many-body quantum mechanics. More specifically, we consider nonlinear partial differential equations and functional inequalities that describe a large number of fermions in a mean-field approximation. This leads to the mathematical analysis of one-body density matrices with large or infinite trace, with a special emphasis on the associated spatial distribution of particles. We adapt tools from dispersive PDEs, Fourier and semiclassical analysis to this setting.
