Structures built in an aggressive environment suffer deterioration that could compromise their reliability. The accurate prediction of the evolution of the deterioration process is usually based on monitoring data set. The approach proposed herein is a stochastic approach able to make predictions based on few data. The model can be also used to plan maintenance and/or rehabilitation interventions. The proposed procedure is applied to the service life prediction of a bridge pier and to the selection of a suitable maintenance scenario
