Introduction. El carcinoma anal escamoso es una neopla - sia rara pero con incidencia creciente en la población infec - tada por el virus de la inmunodeficiencia humana (VIH). Pacientes y métodos. Se analizaron de manera retrospec - tiva y descriptiva las características epidemiológicas, clíni - cas, inmunológicas, virológicas y terapéuticas de 8 pacientes VIH positivos con carcinoma anal escamoso asistidos entre los años 2005 y 2011. Resultados. La mediana de edad de los pacientes fue de 39 años, 75% fueron varones y 83% mantenían relaciones homosexuales.
