The comparison between two churches similar in structure and period of construction leads to compare also the different solutions attempted to solve similar structural problems. Santa Maria Assunta of Esine (BS) and Santa Maria of Nembro (BG) were constructed at tbe end of the XV century, correspond to the same type of building, the "pieve rustica", and have similar structural problems. Interventions supported by documents took place in the same periods: the ’60s and the ’90s of this century, and it is possible to compare them.
