Morphometric studies are approached through different methods, among them geometric morphometry, such as contours and landmarks. These methodologies gathered with classification methods, such as linear discriminant analysis (LDA) and principal component analysis (PCA), extract information efficiently and capture inter or intraspecific grouping.
