Abstract Mulberry leaf shape is an important agronomic trait indicating yield, growth, development, and habitat variation. China was the earliest country in the world to grow mulberry for sericulture, and it is also one of the great contributions of the Chinese nation to human civilization. ATAC‐seq (Assay for Transposase Accessible Chromatin using sequencing) is a recently developed technique for genome‐wide analysis of chromatin accessibility.
