In this paper, the static non-linear behavior of masonry bridges is numerically analyzed by means of a 3D FE numerical code. In particular, the three dimensional behavior of the structures when subjected to eccentric loads, the actual 3D geometry of the bridges (particularly important when skew arches are analyzed) and the strengthening effect induced by the backfill are considered. The code is non-commercial and is applied here for the first time in presence of a very large number of elements and different materials.
