The environmental transportation costs refer to both macro impacts evaluated on large areas and territorial impacts calculated in proximity to the transport infrastructures. Macro impacts refer to all the damages caused by the transportation sector in terms of emissions and climate alteration, while territorial impacts include air pollution, sound emissions, barrier effect, landscape damages and all the risks connected with the soil stability and water pollution, both superficial and deep one too
