This work focuses on the spectroscopic study of nonlinear optical signals (NLO) generated by suspensions of nano-objects with a non-centrosymmetric crystal structure. An experimental scattering set-up, including a tunable femtosecond laser source (700-1300 nm), has been optimised to probe the resonances of different NLO processes within these nano-objects. We first present the work on two-dimensional transition metal dichalcogenide nanosheets.
