Optical cavities make an excellent environment for enhancing the emission performances of anoemitters. Nonetheless, even though laser cavities have a high quality factor and enable the fabrication of intense single-photon sources through the pumping of a single atom, plasmonic cavities help manipulate the properties of light in a revolutionnary way. Through the fabrication of a tailored plasmonic environment for CdSe/CdS quantum dots, we can control not only their intensity, lifetime, spectrum and photon statistics, but also their emission pattern, as shown in this thesis.
