La enseñanza de la anatomía del conducto inguinal fuera del anfiteatro y el quirófano requiere la presencia de modelos anatómicos duraderos, económicos y reutilizables, diseñados para la consistencia educativa y la repetición adecuada. El objetivo de este estudio fue desarrollar un modelo anatómico tridimensional que presenta al estudiante las estructuras anatómicas de la pared abdominal e inguinal de manera clara además de los diferentes tipos de hernias que pueden presentarse en la región inguinal utilizando materiales asequibles, replicables, reusables y de bajo costo.
