System based on the internet of things for cattle monitoring using a lorawan network

El sistema IoT diseñado y desarrollado en este trabajo de grado, recopila datos ambientales y del comportamiento de las vacas con la ayuda de un collar portátil que incluye sensores tipo MEMs que registran variables específicas del bovino y de su entorno. Estos datos se transmiten en tiempo real a una unidad central que recibe las mediciones vía LoRaWAN, las cuales son retransmitidas a Internet utilizando un prestador de servicios de Internet comercial. Los datos ya dispuestos en Internet son recopilados y almacenados en una plataforma en la nube que permite hacer el análisis de datos, patrones y correlación para su posterior presentación, generación de alertas y despliegue al usuario final. Este despliegue de información permitirá determinar potenciales problemas o enfermedades del animal en una etapa temprana por medio del análisis de anomalías en el comportamiento o conducta animal permitiendo al ganadero o administrador del hato, la toma de decisiones en tiempo real para aumentar la productividad del negocio ganadero.The IoT system designed and developed in this degree project, collects environmental data and the behavior of cows with the help of a portable collar that includes MEMs sensors that sense specific variables of the bovine and its environment. These data are transmitted in real time to a central unit that receives the measurements via LoRaWAN, which are retransmitted to the Internet using a commercial Internet service provider. The data already available on the Internet is collected and stored on a cloud platform that allows data analysis, patterns and correlation for subsequent presentation, generation of alerts and deployment to the end user.
