L’étude des Pompilidae collectés dans le cadre de l’exploration de l’île d’Espiritu Santo (Vanuatu) permet la description d’un genre nouveau de la tribu des Ageniellini : Melanagenia n. gen., et de deux espèces nouvelles endémiques, Melanagenia penaoru n. gen., n. sp. et Anoplius santo n. sp. Priocnemis corynodes Vachal, 1907 est transféré dans le genre Melanagenia n. gen. et un lectotype est désigné pour Pompilus inquirendus Vachal, 1907.
