It is described the production of crystalline 2,3 disyndiotactic polynorbornene with a decomposition (without melting) temperature in the range 380-400 °C characterized by insolubility in aromatic hydrocarbons at room temperature and partially soluble in boiling toluene. The production procedure, the crystal structure and new clathrate structures of PNB formed by polymeric helices with tubular internal cavities are also described
