Transformer oil is conventionally used as an insulating liquid for the purpose of insulation and cooling in power transformers. The rise in the power demand has put stress on the existing insulation system used for power transmission. Nanotechnology provides an advanced approach to upgrade the conventional insulation system by producing nano-oil with enhanced dielectric characteristics.
