During the process of emergency landing, the energy of the impact in the vertical direction is dissipated through the deformation of the structure. The landing load is transferred to the spine of the occupant through the landing gear, the fuselage and finally the seat. This can cause serious damage to the human body. Since the seat is in direct contact with the human body, the energy absorption capacity of the seat is the most direct manifestation of the Crashworthiness of the helicopter.
