Saline-alkali soil has posed challenges to the growth of agricultural crops, while polyploidy often show greater adaptability in diverse and extreme environments including saline-alkali stress, but its defense mechanisms in rice remain elusive. Herein, we explored the mechanisms of enhanced saline-alkali tolerance of autotetraploid rice 93-11T relative to diploid rice 93-11D, based on physiological, hormonal and transcriptomic profilings.
