Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) have the potential to maintain the sustainability of rice cultivation via maintaining soil health. The objective of this study was to produce an AMF-based biofertilizer for the rice variety Bg350 using indigenous dominant species of AMF that are adapted to paddy wetland soil conditions in dry, wet, and intermediate zones in Sri Lanka and are co-inoculated with the bacterium Azospirillum. A pot experiment was carried out to evaluate the effectiveness of the produced biofertilizer using the rice variety Bg350.
