The detail shows a bishop’s mitre and the motto of the General Synod of the Anglican Church of Canada. The inscription readings Nisi Dominus from Psalm 127:1, “Nisi Dominus aedificaverit domum in vanum laboraverunt qui aedificant ema (Excpet the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it).
