O PATRIMÔNIO ARQUIVÍSTICO EM DISCUSSÃO:: ORIGEM E CONCEPÇÃO DE UMA NOÇÃO EM CONSOLIDAÇÃO

The objective of this article is to discuss the notion of archival heritage, seeking the contours of its origin and understanding in the archival science. It results from the identification, by some authors, of the lack of a theoretical-conceptual verticalization of this theme in the archival literature. Characterized as exploratory research, with a qualitative approach, uses the integrative literature review method. The archival heritage is framed as an integral part of a set of documentary heritage, which are elements of the domain of cultural heritage. In this perspective, the notion of archival heritage exposes its relationship with the memory of a nation or collectivity. In the archival science, a growing discussion emerges about the processes and methods of patrimonialization, that is, the identification and constitution of new archival heritages.Objetiva-se, neste artigo, discutir a noção de patrimônio arquivístico, buscando os contornos de sua origem e entendimento no campo arquivístico. Resulta da identificação, por parte de alguns autores, da carência de uma verticalização teórica-conceitual desta temática, na literatura arquivística. Caracterizando-se como uma pesquisa exploratória, com abordagem qualitativa, utiliza o método de revisão integrativa da literatura. Enquadra-se o patrimônio arquivístico como parte integrante de um conjunto do patrimônio documental, sendo estes, elementos do domínio do patrimônio cultural. Nesta perspectiva, a noção de patrimônio arquivístico expõe a sua relação com a memória de uma nação ou coletividade. Emerge, no campo arquivístico, uma crescente discussão acerca dos processos e métodos de patrimonialização, ou seja, da identificação e constituição de novos patrimônios arquivísticos.
