Social dimensions of sustainable development of the Central and Eastern Europe   The idea of sustainable development rests on three pillars: economic, social and environmental. In the central planning economy economic results were paramount, achieved even at the expense of environment protection. Social sphere was tightly connected with manufacturing process.
