THE LEGAL NATURE AND PURPOSE OF A  LIMITEDONE-TIME SUPPORT DUE TO A  CHILD’S BIRTHThis paper refers to the nature and purpose of a  limited support received due to the birth of a  child. The author considers the legal rationale for the introduction of a  limited one-time support due to a  child’s birth into the Family Benefits Act. The author also considers whether the benefit meets the objectives of pronatalist policies, or supports the economic function of family.
