Un petit éditeur en périphérie du système : les traductions d’ouvrages en sciences humaines dans le catalogue de la maison d’édition « słowo/obraz terytoria »

The topic raised in this article is the starting point for a statistical analysis of foreign language texts in the field of the humanities published by the Polish publishing house “słowo/obraz terytoria” from its establishment in 1995 until September 2019. The article also analyses the factors that make up this aspect of the publishing house’s achievements and specifies their role in the phenomenal development of the institution, which began as a small peripheral entity but is now recognized as an elite humanities publisher in Poland.
