A figure of dreams or how students see the profesion of a translatorIn this article we try to answer the question how students of Romance languages and literature see the translator’s profession. To this end, we have analysed 117 questionnaires in three groups: undergraduate students, MA students specialising in translation and students of a post-graduate course for translators of Romance languages. The analysis has enabled us to show the image of the translator among students at various stages of their education, the motivation behind their choice of such a career and whether this image changes as the respondents’ knowledge and professional experience expand.A figure of dreams or how students see the profesion of a translatorIn...
