In this Article, the contribution made by Mahatma Gandhi to the National Movement has been described. Mahatma Gandhi ji was the supreme leader of the Indian National Movement. Gandhi Ji was born on October 2, 1869, in the house of Karamchand Gandhi. After completing his elementary education, Gandhi ji went to England in 1988 to pursue higher education at the age of 19. He come to India in 1891 and then went to South Africa in 1893. He returned to India after 22 Years in 1915 and in 1917 used his weapon of active disobedience against the British in India with the Champaran Movement.
