In this article, I analyze the access and enrolment nature of the 3rd and 4 th centuries higher education academic meetings or lectures in the Roman Empire. To achieve this, I study some of the passages of the teachers biographies written by Porphyry of Tyre (Life of Plotinus) and Eunapius of Sardis (Lives of Philosophers and Sophists). Thus, they allow understanding that topic, particularly in the schools of Philosophy, Rhetoric, and Medicine.
