As queer and trans studies in higher education continues to embrace its interdisciplinary nature, scholars should further interrogate how they utilize critical and poststructural frameworks in designing their studies. This manuscript details the considerations that postsecondary education researchers should be mindful of as they seek to actualize the potential of queer of color critique (QOCC) in their studies. Specifically, the authors describe how individuals using QOCC should actualize the framework in the following four areas: considering the scope of the study, reflections on the researcher and participant relationship, engaging in responsive and transformative data collection, and centering equity and liberation in research outcomes. ...
