The disease is characterized by profuse watery diarrhea, vomiting and fever. The major complications of rotavirus gastroenteritis (RVGE) are dehydration, middle ear inflammation and upper respiratory tract infection. The basis of treatment is compensation for fluid loss and administration of probiotics. The aim of this study was to analyze the clinical characteristics of rotavirus gastroenteritis in infants.
