The paper explores the possibilities of linking theoretical interpretation of selected children’s literature texts in higher education with students’ active participation in analyzing and systematizing teaching contents. It has been pointed out that interpretive texts have a significant role in upgrading future class teachers’ and preschool teachers’ specific verbal performative skills. The partnership between teachers and students is taken into consideration and students’ tandem/group presentations are analyzed in order to highlight the effects of linking theoretical with performative aspect of the interpretation of texts.
