ТHE ROLE OF PHYSICAL EDUCATION IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF STUDENTS’ SOCIAL COMPETENCIES

The modern concept of teaching physical education involves raising awareness of socialization, and developing student’s social competencies. In order to examine the contribution of teaching physical education to the achievement of social competencies, a research was conducted, aimed at exploring the effects of the application of social competencies development program in physical education classes. The research is experimental with parallel groups. Physical education classes in which group games were taught were observed for the purpose of the research. In the analysis of the results, one‑factor and dual‑factor analysis of variance (ANOVA) were applied, which showed the effects of the program (p < ,05 p = ,000) (p < ,05 p = ,047) and confirmed the findings of some previous research studies on the comprehensive role of teaching physical education in the process of student competence development.Publishe
