The article proposes new technologies for diagnosing defects in the main equipment of thermal power plants using shaft sensors. In online mode, static and dynamic shafting movements are predicted during start-up and stationary operation of the turbine unit. To obtain a static line of the shaft, it is necessary to know the geometry of the rotors and bearings and the conditions of their assembly, the alignment of the bearings, compensating alignment of the rotors by half couplings and the measured values of the ascent of the rotor necks.
