This study aims to investigate Pope Francis‟ and Dalai Lama‟s communication about communities on Twitter. Our primary research question is based on the idea that Pope Francis tweets about communities surrounded by religious contexts, while Dalai Lama does not focus on religious embeddedness in his tweets referred to communities. First, from rhetorical perspectives, we tried to examine whether the two leaders tweet about groups of people by using religious contexts. Second, we made an effort to seek whether they use explicit religious community rhetoric.
