This article aims to discuss how the neoliberal discourse has intensified from the Base Nacional Comum Curricular (BNCC) and, then, configured the Science school subject. Educational policies are designed and produced to social, ideological, economic, political and cultural changes in different times and places in society take place in school. In Brazil, it is possible to observe that since the 1990s the neoliberal discourses have grown in educational policies, which have been expanded with the production (in 2015) and approval (in 2017 and 2018) of the BNCC.
