The growth and consolidation of the demand for telephone interpreting services has been attracting an increasing attention of the academia to its study lately. The primary goal of this research has been to build a spoken corpus of interpreter-mediated telephone conversations geared towards the study of face-threatening acts (FTAs). These conversations involve Spanish and an additional language such as German, Chinese, French, English or Russian.
