Acreditación de discapacidad de manera oportuna en pacientes con enfermedades catastróficas graves

The aim of this study is to analyze whether the current regulatory system of disability accreditation for patients with evident severe catastrophic diseases complies with constitutional and human rights criteria. A descriptive analysis and bibliographic review have been carried out. The legal norms that correspond to the certification of disability, which does not include serious catastrophic diseases as a special group for the assessment, having these to carry out the legal procedures, updated documentation, complementary examinations, and surgical treatments must wait up to six months.El objetivo de este estudio es analizar si el sistema normativo actual de acreditación de discapacidades de aquellos pacientes que cursan con enfermedades catastróficas graves evidentes cumple con criterios constitucionales y de Derechos Humanos. Se ha realizado un análisis descriptivo y revisión bibliográfica. Las normas legales que corresponden a la certificación de discapacidad, la cual no incluye a las enfermedades catastróficas graves como un grupo especial para la valoración, teniendo estas que realizar los trámites legales, documentaciones actualizadas, exámenes complementarios, el realizarse tratamientos quirúrgicos deben esperar hasta seis meses
