Interdisciplinarity is a polysemic concept and is used in an undifferentiated way, regardless of whether its scope of application is epistemic, in teaching or professional; and to perform an interdisciplinary teaching in the strict sense requires a theorization. In this sense, this research aims to characterize the existing conceptualizations about interdisciplinary teaching in which the experiences investigated in higher education at the undergraduate level are supported, including teacher training, during the years 2007-2020.
