Erfina Evaluation is a method and process of assessing the implementation of the duties of a person or group of people or work units within a company or organization in accordance with predetermined performance standards or goals. Evaluation of the performance of the Regional Disaster Management Agency in Preventing Forest and Land Fires in Tanjung Peranap Village, Tebing Tinggi Barat District, Meranti Islands Regency was carried out to assess the process of carrying out its duties. The purpose of this study was to determine the performance of the Regional Disaster Management Agency in preventing forest and land fires in Tanjung Peranap Village, Tebing Tinggi Barat District, Meranti Islands Regency. The problems of this thesis are that forest and land fires still occur in the Meranti Islands Regency, the location of the fires is very far away so that BPBD has difficulties in the process of implementing forest and land fire prevention activities, there are still people who clear land by burning forest and land. The type of research in writing this thesis is a qualitative research method where this research is an interpretive research (using interpretation) which involves many methods, in examining the research problem. The technique of collecting data is by using observation techniques, namely research conducted by taking data - data taken in the form of notes and documentation and direct interviews. Several informants related to the discussion of this research. The research subjects were the Head of the Regional Disaster Management Agency, the Head of the Preparedness and Prevention Section, the Village Head, the Dusun Head and the community. The results showed that the evaluation of the performance of the Regional Disaster Management Agency in Preventing Forest and Land Fires in Tanjung Peranap Village, Tebing Tinggi Barat District, Meranti Islands Regency was in accordance with the overall response of the respondents which was in the good category according to the overall respondent's response, which was in the fairly good category. . The factors that hinder the implementation of the performance evaluation of the Regional Disaster Management Agency in Preventing Forest and Land Fires in Tanjung Peranap Village, Tebing Tinggi Barat District, Meranti Islands Regency are still land clearing by burning
