Paul (Jacques), Family and Heresy. Heresy was considered as a family practice and research has shown unquestionable facts. The latter have to be confronted to more general data in order to place them in their background. Based on Inquisition documents, the present paper tries to count up the defendants and the convicts from the same family. The results differ sensibly according to the nature of documents. Authentic deeds from the Registre du greffier de Carcassonne (Register of the clerk of the court of Carcassonne) and the verdicts of Pierre Cellan show low percentages which can be seen as bottom figures.
