Formación de la habilidad entrevistar en la asignatura Introducción a la Medicina General Integral

Introduction: the ability to interview is an essential professional tool and a need that must be developed to achieve proper health care.Objective: to characterize the training of professors at the primary health care level to develop the skills to interview in medical students.Method: an observational, descriptive and cross-sectional research was carried out at Luis Augusto Turcios Lima Teaching Polyclinic during September to December 2019. The study target group consisted of 14 professors who taught the activity of education at work in medicine major in the subject Introduction to General Comprehensive Medicine, all of them were chosen. Theoretical and empirical methods as well as descriptive statistics were applied.Results: the 100 % of professors considered that the development of the skills to interview is important, and 57.14 % admitted to present pedagogical insufficiencies for the training of these skills; 100% of the tutors identified the absence of a previous diagnosis based on the training deficiencies of the skills to interview, the interrelation with other subjects, along with the inexistence of instruments to assess the mastery of this ability.Conclusions: the diagnosis made showed the existence of didactic-pedagogical deficiencies in the training process of the skills to interview for medical major students, being necessary to increase the teaching development of professors in aspects related to this subject.Introducción: la habilidad entrevistar constituye una herramienta y necesidad profesional fundamental que debe desarrollarse para lograr una correcta atención de salud.Objetivo: caracterizar la preparación de los docentes del nivel primario de atenciónpara formar la habilidad entrevistar en los estudiantes de la carrera de medicina.Método: se realizó una investigación observacional, descriptiva y transversal en el Policlínico Universitario “Luis Augusto Turcios Lima” durante el período septiembre a diciembre de 2019. El universo de estudio estuvo constituido por 14 docentes que impartieron la actividad educación en el trabajo en la carrera medicina en la asignatura Introducción a la Medicina General Integral seleccionándose la totalidad. Se utilizaron métodos teóricos y empíricos. Fueron empleados pocedimientos de la estadística descriptiva.Resultados: el 100 % de los docentes consideró importante la habilidad entrevistar, y el 57,14 % reconoció presentar insuficiencias pedagógicas para la formación de la misma. En el 100 % de los tutores se identificó la ausencia de un diagnóstico previo a partir de las deficiencias formativas de la habilidad entrevistar, interrelación con otras asignaturas, así como inexistencia de instrumentos para evaluar el dominio de la dicha habilidad.Conclusiones: el diagnóstico realizado evidenció la existencia de insuficiencias didácticas-pedagógicas en el proceso formativo de la habilidad entrevistar en los estudiantes de la carrera medicina, siendo necesario incrementar la superación profesoral de los mismos en aspectos relacionados con esta temática
