Introduction: the ability to interview is an essential professional tool and a need that must be developed to achieve proper health care.Objective: to characterize the training of professors at the primary health care level to develop the skills to interview in medical students.Method: an observational, descriptive and cross-sectional research was carried out at Luis Augusto Turcios Lima Teaching Polyclinic during September to December 2019. The study target group consisted of 14 professors who taught the activity of education at work in medicine major in the subject Introduction to General Comprehensive Medicine, all of them were chosen.
