Laboratorio logopédico para la atención a la disfonía desde la formación inicial y permanente

ABSTRACTIntroduction: The speech therapist is the one in charge of the attention to the dysfunctions of the language and communication. Dysphonia is the most frequent dysfunction of voice, however the students interact more with the dysfunctions of the language and of speech. Objective: to analyze the relevancy of the laboratory to develop professional abilities in the students of the career of Speech Therapy for the attention to dysphonia.Material and methods: A study of pedagogical character was carried out using methods of the theoretical, empiric and statistical levels, with the whole group of students of the career of Speech Therapy at the University of Pinar del Río (127) and a sample of five professors of this specialty, in the period of 2012 to 2016.Results: which revealed the inadequacies that they present the students and specialist to diagnose and giving treatment to the dysphonia, for this reason arise a project, conceived from the speech therapy laboratory at the university, like space that gets students, professors and specialists of the territory together, where is linked the laboral, academic, research, out-of-the-university components, with a multidisciplinary and intersector character, linking the area of health with that of education. Conclusions: it was elaborated a pedagogic strategy that concive the speech therapy laboratory, for giving answers to the difficulties that the students, profesors and specialists for the work with dysphonia, projecting actions that contribute to diagnosis, and the treatment of this disorder. Introducción: el logopeda es el encargado de la atención a los trastornos del lenguaje y de la comunicación. La disfonía es el trastorno de voz más frecuente, sin embargo, los estudiantes durante su formación, interactúan más con los trastornos del lenguaje y del habla. Objetivo: analizar la pertinencia del laboratorio logopédico para desarrollar habilidades profesionales en los estudiantes de la carrera de Logopedia para la atención a la disfonía.Material y métodos: se realizó un estudio de corte pedagógico, utilizando métodos del nivel teórico, empíricos y estadísticos, con la totalidad de estudiantes de la carrera de Logopedia en la Universidad de Pinar del Río (127) y los docentes de la esta especialidad, en el período del 2012 hasta el 2016, el cual reveló las insuficiencias que estos presentan en el desarrollo de habilidades profesionales para la atención a la disfonía.Resultados: se concreta en una estrategia pedagógica como parte de un proyecto institucional, concebida desde el laboratorio logopédico en la universidad, como espacio que aglutina a estudiantes, profesores y especialistas del territorio, donde se vinculan armónicamente los componentes académico, laboral, investigativo y extensionista con un carácter multidisciplinario e intersectorial, vinculando el área de salud con la de educación. Conclusiones: el laboratorio logopédico, constituye una respuesta a las dificultades que presentan los estudiantes de la carrera de Logopedia, así como docentes y especialistas para la atención a la disfonía y otros trastornos del lenguaje y la comunicación, proyectando acciones que contribuyen al desarrollo de las habilidades profesionales
