Introduction:"dyspepsia" comes from the Greek "dys" meaning bad or hard and "pepto" meaning cook or digest (bad digestion). It is very frequent in this environment and thus affects one fourth of the world population. Objective: to characterize the clinical, epidemiological and endoscopic aspects of functional dyspepsia in the upper digestive tract, in patients attending Abel Santamaría Cuadrado General Teaching Hospital of Pinar del Río, year 2013. Method: a descriptive, prospective, longitudinal study was performed.
