Conceptual meaning of Signifier and Signified on animated film Omar and Hana English version

Semiotics is the study of signs and their associations. These signs can be in the form of images, sounds, words and so on. Semiotics can also be referred to as a scientific discipline that can examine all forms of communication between meanings that have a basis, namely the system of signs and markers. Signifiers are things that are captured by our minds such as sounds, visual images, and so on. While the signified, is the meaning or impression that is in our minds about what is captured. This research will examine the conceptual meaning in the animated film Omar and Hana English version. The aims of this study are: 1. To find out the signifier and signified contained in the animated film Omar and Hana English Version. 2. To find out the Islamic message contained in the animated film Omar and Hana English Version. This study uses a semiotic approach to the theory of Ferdinand de Saussure namely, signifier and signified. The objects used in this research are 9 series episodes from the animated film Omar and Hana English Version. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative, namely research methods with qualitative data described descriptively. The semiotic theory of Ferdinand de Saussure, which is where the sign is interpreted with the meaning of the signifier and the signified. The results of this study indicate that the findings of signifier and signified in the animated film Omar and Hana English version are related to Islamic messages. Signifier and signified is a unity that is closely related. Signifier is a form and signified is a concept. Therefore both will produce a meaning or meaning. And the meaning contained in the results of this study is the meaning of Islamic messages, namely: teaching about sahur, fasting, patience, cleaning mosques, husnudzon, respecting elders, loving younger ones, praying before and after activities, trying, apologizing, asking for forgiveness, permission, honest, sharing, helpful and careful
